Very lonely uni student here. Live in a sharehouse, classmates are all STEM nerds, degree has a high dropout rate, club and society meetups are often cancelled because nobody fucking turns up to them.

You all told me to join clubs and societies. And I did that. And it turns out that nobody fucking goes to them. In a university with 30,000 people.

I also work weekends. It's the way life goes in Australia. You turn up to uni and get the fuck out and go back to your high school friends. I don't have any friends from high school left because I left my shitty little hometown ages ago and haven't been back.

I'm young and I'm supposed to be young. How can I make friends with people my age now? It's what I've always wanted in life.

I want to change universities, but I lack the credit requirements to do so now. If I change to a better university, I'll be around 24 years old before I can possibly do so. Is 24 too old to make friends who get invited to parties in university? How can I possibly do so if I'm a STEM major who doens't have any friends from high school? This shit sucks.
