So my high school crush went abroad for higher studies and i have been missing her like crazy. I would love to talk to her for hours if i could but

1) timezone is a bitch(it's not that big of an issue we're only 5 hours apart) But 2) she is a shit conversationalist. Like i would love to even mildly flirt with her or exchange banter but she's not the sort of a person who engages in funny banter let alone flirtatious banter.

In person she's super chill and expressive and comfortable but on text she's just dry and she's unable to hold proper conversations. Like after a point even i start feeling as if I'm interviewing her.

Now i could simply stop talking to her or maybe talk to her once or twice a month to get over this feeling but the thing is she is one of my oldest and closest friends and it just so happens that I'll be in the same city as her next year for college. I won't be able to avoid her then. Not that i want to avoid her but i just wish there was something that i could do to help my situation?

Any tips or feedback?

And no, telling her about my feelings at this point seems like a bad idea to me because if the feelings aren't reciprocated, it could get very weird between us since we might talk awkwardly on text, not to forget that she's an introvert and a bit shy. So things would get weird by the time I'm in the same city as her next year.

I'm confused
