I gave my number to a nice french woman today we had a brief conversation 2 weeks ago.....

You skip right over, in three words, the most important part of the entire post.

There's no way to know whether she would want to call you unless we know details about the conversation.

A lot of women don't want to be the first person to call. You've dropped the ball by simply leaving your number with her.

In any case, if you saw her again and didn't make sure that contact information was shared two ways, then you dropped the ball again.

At this point if she hasn't called, she's probably not going to, not without you getting the ball rolling first.

Giving a girl a number and leave it at that is easily seen as lazy as well. If you really got along well with her in that first conversation, then you could have easily suggested getting together to do something.

Just leaving her your number is like being a wet noodle.

There's no advantage to gain by posting this question to women specifically.

Women don't frequent this sub as often as men do.
Among the men who frequent this sub, many of them are awkward in dealing with questions that are posed specifically to women. It triggers them, leading them to unintentionally troll such threads.
Men and women both have insight into these things. Gender doesn't assign any sort of extra insight. Good advice comes from both men and women on this sub, as does the bad.

So asking women specifically doesn't can't gain you anything here.
