Today I received a very good question, so without hesitation I am just going to lay it out all for you guys.
Person:
Got it
Have you been in this community for a long time?
Ice:
4 years.
Person:
Okay, so you might have a good perspective on this -
I’m having a hard time going out with wings, I’ve only had like 2 good ones ever. In my experience, if they’re really uncomfortable socially or kind of uncool, it really changes my state and I kind of want to eject
I don’t consider myself at master level but pick up on social cues very well. If I’m with a wing(s) and they just don’t get it w an interaction, I feel a bit embarrassed to be out with them. I feel bad even admitting that..
Any thoughts? Relatable?
Ice:
Been there.
Do you know how many wings I have had?
Hundreds.
There was one guy in particular that I went out with on a regular basis for a few weeks at a time. 3 or 4 nights per week. He became inactive before meeting me, then we both went hard at it. He was probably the best wing I had.
Then I moved to another place. A much bigger place. That's where I tried to make a name for myself and people wanted to wing with me. The truth is, I made it more of a wing night thing where 6-15 guys would come and just wing each other spontaneously. Some of these guys were terrible, some were honestly good and respectable. But a few, of course, were super shy or just drag downs.
By then I got into social circle game and so I was very much solo but these guys were still coming to observe me and each other. But I would be in areas restricted to everyone else. My new wingmen were the DJs and the club promoter and the club night manager.
What I learned meeting all these people though were a few valuable things:
- You will know who's really reliable, and you will be better spending time with them once you found them instead of random wings you never met, or random wings who aren't quite your level.
- You will also know who to avoid.
- Once you find those people on your level that you work so well with, you will be in such a paradise.
We had what were called Cancer Squad regulars. And these were a handful of guys who always winged the same people, because they were all similar and it was just like they were best friends. Our times were hilarious. I would catch 4 of them sitting on the dancefloor joining hands and meditating, while getting girls to join in. So effortless, yet so funny and memorable.
The very same guys were with me many times, and another time we were in a circle on the dancefloor giving the person next to us, one at a time, a ridiculous instruction. The first one I got was: Go to that girl and say 'I'm gay but for you I would make an exception'
