Let’s start out by saying that in my opinion none of what you see here will come naturally to anyone who feels like they struggle with this. Every encounter with every human is a learning experience but all the information here is probably best used to process and move forward from ‘mistakes’ rather than trying to remember it all and employ it when you find someone you’re interested in. Anyway. I had a girl come into work and buy a couple drinks, she smiled and said hey and that she recognised me from another day. I’d seen her before once and I caught her looking at me. I struggle with how I look a lot on a daily basis so I was thinking to myself like what’s wrong I must have done something but she was super forward and complemented my style but today she said I was really attractive etc. She had a lotta confidence and it completely caught me off guard and I genuinely started getting all shakey and stuttering over myself, which is pretty rare when I’m at work, i just didn’t know how to reciprocate what she was saying. I’d should have just got her number in that short moment. All the advice I’ve seen in this sub and all of my experience went outta the window. Never had someone be so forward and complimentary and it really spun me out. Tried my best, just about got her name. But think I just ended up seeming uninterested even though it was the complete opposite.

Tl;dr 10/10 confident girl comes into work when it’s quiet and tells me she’s rly interested. That kinda stuff never happens to me. Think i missed my chance by being super awkward and caught off guard.
