Logistics of talking/walking to a girl in the evening after an academic class or dance class after first time meeting? Usually have only a few minutes before you split paths. Feel awkward/afraid to ask for a phone number or ask her to come home and not sure how to think on my feet in those minutes

Scenario 1: Ask her if it's okay for you to walk her home. Ask for her number. Say you'd like to grab coffee sometime or invite her to do something fun.

Scenario 2: Getting a number doesn't have to be romantic or platonic. You can be friends, too. Maybe you're doing something fun Friday night and she's welcome to come. See how she reacts.

Scenario 3: Most girls aren't just going to let you walk them home after class and bang them right there. If you're just looking for a hookup ask if they'd like to come over and watch a movie sometime. Low percentage shot but some girls will take you up on it. If they seem cool ask if they want to get coffee or do something fun. If they're super hot ask them out to dinner.

Focus on getting their number. You can use an excuse like a common interest. But honestly it's not that serious. As you start to split up just say "hey, my place is that way but it was nice meeting you. Mind if I grab your number? Can I have your number? Wanna exchange numbers? Maybe we'll hang out some time.

It's not weird to grab people's numbers even as friends. Especially if you're in college. It helps to have a social circle. Some of the hottest girls I've met have been because I grabbed some girls number after class for whatever reason and then invited her/her friends over and she showed up with a super hot friend. Sometimes I get girls numbers because we're in the same class together -- that way I can ask questions about what we did in class if I miss a day. Or if I'm at the gym (ha) you can grab their number and say maybe we can hang out sometime. In my experience they'll give you their number 99% of the time even if it goes nowhere.
