I live in a college city that while pretty large in population it is actually too small of a world for people that like to go out and mingle.

I like to dance here and there and I've met some girls that way, had a couple ONS that way. The trouble is not those girls I've had fun with, that is certainly on me. It's the girls I've never approached who are getting on my nerves.

One of them overly aggressively approached me about us dating and offered to buy me a drink, and I usually have to run into her at the gym. Another works in the same building I do and so has sort of claimed me to herself to all her friends even though I'm not into her. So now if I like one of her friends they have to be ready to face that drama and lose their friend.

One of my thoughts is why are girls who are much lower in SMV aggressively pursuing me? I swear I've had like 10 this year do this. And if its' not a girl it's a guy I know asking me not to date his girl because I could date so many other girls why date his crush. And hell, almost every girl has a guy who is crushing on her. Everyone has baggage. Nobody is coming out fresh from the wrapping paper.

I do consider myself to be a pleasant person to men and women. I am thoughtful of people's emotions and often empathetic more than I'd like to be. That being the case I suppose I must somehow come to terms with being a bad guy or I will never get anywhere. Somebody has to get hurt so I can't get what I want and live for fucks sake.

Anyway if any of you have experience with this I'd really appreciate your thoughts. What methods or tactics are useful in this complex group situations.
