Afternoon all! I just got home from a walk and wanted to share my experience and progress with it through Covid & riots.
First I need to say this. I am nobody, I don't have an education in this stuff, and I don't heavily study anything. And i'm especially not some Anon who claims he is Gods gift to pussy and that you NEED his help & that it costs money. Fuck all those people. Yes fuck you.
We digress.
Over the past few months (starting in April) I have been practicing the cold approach. The cold approach is walking up to women in public and just chatting. If you are like me this experience is full of nerves and self doubt. I live in Chicago and my apartment is close to the lake, so I have the option to walk that route, which I do everyday. However during Covid they shut down the lakefront and all the park area around it. About a week in the fences were ripped down and massive amounts of people had returned to enjoy summer in their fav spot. This is where my story begins. Awhile ago I decided that everything is a skill, and the cold approach, not unlike learning to throw a football, or learning to code. It is a skill that must be practiced if you want it to be strengthened. So I began with 1 person a day "Today I will talk to 1 female rando" which I thought not to immense a task. But here is the thing which is valuable. I have watched videos in the past about people asking others their name, asking them distinct questions. I believe that when women hear such distinct things they go to defense mode, and are much less receptive to your advances. However if I approach a stranger and ask "hey is the lake still closed?" I do not get the same defensive response. I just get the answer, and much more often than not a conversation begins. Were living in a world where there are a million and 1 topics on peoples minds, speak to any of them. But make it light. People want to have fun, not be interrogated. I usually withdraw after a few minuets of chatting, I still get very squeamish. But the door is now open, there is no drawbridge, not hot tar, no bullshit. Its just you talking to someone about the lake, not "hey this perv was hitting on me by the lake".
So I propose this for everyone out there who's struggling to throw themselves into the fire.
- Find a place you like to go, and go there often. This will build a strong comfort and familiarity thus you can use it to build up your repeteur of benign relatable questions.
- Establish a plan. "I want to talk to 1 anon today" is a huge plan, and a massive undertaking for those who are not comfortable here. Start slow, no hurry, but build a plan of some sort. Do your best to stick to it. If you do not, you really shouldn't be tough on yourself. I mean its learning like anything else, your smart and you can learn things right? right. So give yourself a fucking break.
- Just do it. You will feel stupid, nervous, dumb, silly, foolish. But in reality any man who approaches someone in public has BALLS. I mean seriously. If you can cold approach and make it not a big deal, you have huge nuts. People respect balls.
- You wont see your progress for possibly a while. It took me a month before I started asking casual questions. I used to like intently walk towards a women while making eye contact. Till I realized Jack the Ripper is NOT a role model. HOWEVER, just because you don't see obvious results doesn't mean your not making HUGE ones. Learning of any kind is reshaping the brain. Thus even the very first time you get off your bitch ass and do something, your building this huge connection. You do it again, and the connection grows stronger and more readily available. By 2 weeks your so familiar you realize its not to hard. 2 months in you wont realize but your weak attempts to approach are now power steps.
- Your worth it. Fight for you. Fight for whats worth it.
That's it. if you have questions or want to tell me that your going to murder my family, either way ill be around. Goodluck fam. I hope this can reach at least 1 individual.
