Retail! It’s like throwing yourself into the deep end. I worked in retail for a semester and I learned so many skills that I use so often now in interpersonal communications.

Nursingggggg! I was extremely socially awkward before nursing school. The job requires that you learn to communicate with people from all walks of life, in all kinds of circumstances. It teaches you to understand others rather than project your ego onto them, which makes for a more meaningful connection and allows for fruitful conversation and understanding.
