TL;DR I have a high sex drive, and keeping an LTR seems to help me ignore the drive to find new women to sleep with, and instead focus on self improvement (career, side projects, gym, etc).

Body

I've been in an LTR for just over a year. I mention her hotness in the title because that seems to always be a relevant factor for LTR questions. She's hot enough that I can take her out and show my friends without feeling embarrassed, but I've definitely been with more attractive women. Getting into TRP, I see lots of people recommending not dealing with women. My GF comes over to stay the night just about every night and I'll admit it takes up a decent chunk of time and money (I typically buy dinner and watch her shitty TV shows with her like orange is the new black).

However, I've found that when I don't have an LTR, I spend a LOT more time "being social" and meeting a lot of women. Even single, I feel kind of bad if I don't hook up ~3 times a week, which is tough to keep up without an LTR.

But with my GF, keeping up with that is super easy, and we can sit around and do nothing together - I can work on side projects / learn new things while she actually saves me some time by helping clean up and keep the paper towel in stock when it runs low.

Is this LTR an exception to the basic rule of "don't waste your time/money/youth on just one woman"?
