Anyone here is CFA certified or currently perusing his certification?

CFA is hard as fuck. Its harder than a CPA which is already hard as fuck. I've seen very smart people fail the CPA and CFA because you not only have to be very smart , you have to put the time in to study. So if you honestly think you can come home tired as fuck from a long day and put in hours to study consistently for months then don't do it, or take some time off and focus on studying. Ideally you would study while working for 6 months in your free time, then take some time completely off so you can focus on studying leading up to the test.

I am studying CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)

I wont lie I find it very demanding, balancing a full time job, studying for exams, gym, eating proper food and dating.

I've made certain choices to make it easier on me. Just because when I have everything going on I burn out and everything suffers.

2 months of studying towards an exam date normally 1 hour a night Mon-Fri and 3 hours each on Sat/Sun. Sit exam. (I've not failed any yet and I'll cross that bridge if it happens.)

2 months of no study with 1 full week off work. I normally try to get my week off as close after my exam date as possible (i am entitled to 6 weeks leave a year)

I manage 3 exams a year. There are 12 total and I've finished 8. 4 to go.

I am happy with my progress personally and my company dont mind, because every exam I pass I am entitled to a raise as an insentive
