Gina Choe, a Korean American woman from Odessa, Florida introduces herself to America's Next Top Model as a 'brave representative' of the underrepresented Asian American modeling community. However, 5 seconds later she spontaneously and explicitly states her disdain for Asian men with racist generalizations. (Also in the unedited version she proclaims to only be interested in one group of men...)

How are asian american men supposed to feel about this? I first reacted with just shock that Asian american women feel so proud of their self-hatred that they can go on national television and proclaim it. Now I shake my head and become more hesitant to be romantically involved with Asian american women. Deep down I know that I should ignore her (and stupid women like her) and focus on self-improvement, but I see myself as a reasonable datacentric person. If there is overwhelming hatred towards asian guys from asian american women, wouldn't it be better to 'choose my battles' and optimize my efforts by romancing other groups of women?
