I have been in my job for nearly two years and have routinely received praise from colleagues and clients. Recently, it seems praise has been coming from all angles.
I take my job very seriously and I pride myself in always doing what is both best and right. My only concern is that I am making myself appear too valuable in my current position, which may jeopardise potential promotion opportunities in the coming years (assuming I remain with my current employer).
As a side note I have bailed-out my colleagues numerous times in the past as well, simply because it irks me that the jobs are not getting done when required. I have curbed that recently, and seek only to make sure my work is as good as it can be.
Are my concerns of sound base, is therefore my question.
Many thanks.
