First off I feel firmly that this is relevant in this section. Once you see how it’s being handled by the media and fans it’s obvious.

I am shocked at how daft the mainstream media and moreso fellow players are handling this situation. All I hear is he should retire over and over. I keep hearing things like think of his wife think of his family etc etc. The thing nobody is addressing is Tua aka Donny himself. How does he feel what are his thoughts. This man has made football his life it’s his dream it’s what he does and who he is right now. It’s all about making him quit his dream in support of others. Like who cares what struggles and sacrifices you’ve made to get here now it’s your job to “man up” and give up your life to support others.

If I’m him I’m consulting 3rd parties and asking them what is best for me excluding the fact he’s been paid. The rapid loss of teammates the support the high from game play the discipline from practice the fame even can be a life shattering transition. It’s like going cold turkey on a lifelong drug. It’s no joke. All retired players say they miss the camaraderie the most.

What are y’all’s thoughts? I think this is an excellent example of not giving a shit about men even if they are extremely high profile. Black tar Mike is the only one who has made comments in support of Tua as a person.
