One lesson I’ve learned over the last few months - don’t let your longing for a miracle steal the miracle of the moment in front of you. When you love someone it’s not the time to be hopeful and quiet, it’s the time to say what needs to be said, to tell that person what they meant to you and how much you loved them. It might be too late, it might not matter anymore. It matters to you.
Grief is love with no where to go. You feel like you are on an island, like no one around you knows how you are feeling and what you are going through. Every day is different, one moment you feel like you’re doing good and then the next moment every emotion is rushing over you. You don’t get over the loss of someone you love. Not without taking care of yourself. I think you just carry the pain of grief differently over time. With God and good people you somehow get stronger, which makes the pain feel a bit lighter.
