I've lived in these three cities - I'd give them the following grades for dating/pick-up

  • Minneapolis: B+
  • New York City: A
  • Chicago: D-
  1. Minneapolis - there isn't a ton of nightlife or options to go out, but women are more friendly, approachable, and seem to have a lower bar. in Minneapolis I can go out, just do my thing with my buddies and passively get approached / etc. in minneapolis I don't really need "game" - just have fun/relax/chat with strangers. Online dating is sort of meh here though.
  2. New York City - Total gold mine. you have to make the first move first minneapolis, but there are a plethora of attractive, intelligent women. so once you do that, it's fairly easy as long as you have some game. Online dating is also killer as well.
  3. Chicago: This one was the huge curveball for me. I moved here for a job for 2 years. It was like minneapolis but the women were less attractive and way way pickier than both minneapolis and NYC. I went out probably 1-2 a week for two years and never actually picked up a girl the entire time. This was the first city where I had to actually run legit numbers game going out as women would never give IOIS, approach, and when I did approach had a near 100% failure rate. I turned it into a game after awhile and just used it as a training ground for rejection sensitivity since literally..I only got rejected and it was almost comical after a certain point. After around 9 months just chalked it up to not being the "type" that women were into in chicago and just used online dating which worked amazingly.
