Hey all, I am new to the club! Recently my wife of 5 years came home from a girls trip and said she was leaving me. Shortly after I found out she was with someone 14 years her younger. We have 2 kids 3 and 4. We had agreement to end things without court. I live in pa, we had agreed I would get primary custody for giving her 20k and the kids tax returns. Day of signing she backed out. Now we are back to square one, I am reaching out to find out if you guys think this idea is good. I am still considering giving her 20k for split custody. I would arrange 3 days with kids one week, then 4 days the next week. I figured this would keep the custody fair. She doesn’t want to go for any of my retirement, house equity ( in my name only) spousal support or bank accounts. My fear is the ever ending child support which I know she can claim whenever. She’s a waitress only claiming 5k in returns a year, even though I know she clears 1k in 2-3 days. She’s part-time, with no real interest in more work. I take the kids under my insurance and I’m salaried between 70-80. I believe there is some fraud going on but I am not out to destroy anyone. We have had separate accounts for everything. I guess I am just looking for any ideas on how to curb the tremendous mountain which would be child support I am fearful of her racking me over the coals because of our pay differences. Any and all advice welcomed.
