While reading the sidebar & Googlin' about, often times I find that SMV is referred to as Social / Sexual Market Value like it is one and the same thing but what if I told you that these Market Values aren't synonymous?
And it does make sense: you can have someone being very sexual but not being social and someone being very social but never seeing any sex. I am sure you have seen social butterflies that never get laid and super hot people that are dying from loneliness at the end of the day. Well, I believe that in combining these two, you will get your ACTUAL Market Value, which is (in short): a median between how good you look & how much people like you as a person.
Pretty obvious and most people know this but this post aims to define how we can put those in numbers & math (because we are men, after all, and men love graphs & numbers apparently) as well as things where others can work on to improve themselves. And no: it is not just looks & personality. Each market value has four different areas that together combine into the score and while you absolutely can call this "looks" + "personality", making things non-abstract can help us understand what they're about.
But make no mistake: you can look great but have no friends (permanent gym bros), be great to be around but no gf (friendzone beta), be a unicorn (SxMV + ScMV are great scores), be an Incel (SxMV + ScMV are terrible scores), fuckbuddies, boyfriends, lovers, husbands & anything in-between. Hopefully this post helps you explain where you stand, what you are struggling with, what you need to improve and how much you are worth in general.
And if you believe that "all people are equal & measuring worth as a human is inhumane" then get the fuck out of this post and go read some fairytales. People have a worth to you & others whether you like it or not (especially men) and THIS is how it is defined. If that wasn't the case then there would be no beggars and all the jobs would pay the same wage. On a better note: if you are uncomfortable with valuing yourself or others, I understand it may be a bit hard to understand but you should realize that the vast majority of people will ascribe value to you & it is better to know that not to.
This is only for men to define themselves. Most women have an innate value and often times their SxMV competes against both of yours (which is why dating for men is hard). For relationships, I would define the female score beside SxMV with more abstract stuff like: femininity, loyalty, nurturing skills & personality overall but, again, this is only for men to define themselves and work towards a better score/value. It's a rough world out there but, eh, what're you gonna do? Definitely not for chicks when it comes to relationships: go look up the "Pig Woman Dating Experiment".
Anyway: here's Sexual Market Value ( SxMV ) & Social Market Value ( ScMV ) explained in depth. Enjoy!
Exterior Level: Sexual Market Value (SxMV)
Objective Value: This is the value we all know & for the most part it is defined in FACTS (unless you use Dark Triad tactics to increase your PERCEIVED SxMV but that won't last for long). Half of these (Height & Looks) you cannot really alter unless you perform extensive surgery so don't bother stressing over it. For the most part, this is not subjective: $100k is $100k, 6ft+ is 6ft plus, being able to bench two plates means you are strong as fuck and a huge dick is a huge dick. Anything else is dumbfuckery and a blue pilled state of thinking. However, realize a lot of these are very much COUNTRY DEPENDENT & can be changed by relocating or travelling. SxMV WILL affect your ScMV (Halo Effect) so this is important to have but think of it more like an initial boost / multiplier rather than a permanent thing: you use it or you lose it. That will be explained below. Either way, these values are: Height, Looks, Money & Style.
Height: Pretty self-explanatory so I won't go too far into elaborating but there is a catch. While this is a score on how tall you are, keep in mind that it is also country dependent. For example, a 6ft in USA, Asia & Europe can be a score 7 (above avg), 9 (way above avg) & a 6 (close to avg). So, if you're 5ft 10 but in Asia, I want you to give yourself a score that is relative to Asia and so on and so forth. Either way, you can't change this: accept it for what it is and realize that you literally have 7 other scores to improve. I know that this may sound hypocritical from someone who is very tall but also realize that I have a Social score of about 4 (and I would say it was about 2 until recently) and that I struggle with women, get left on read and I can be manipulated by a cute chick so improving other scores should be your goal rather than crying that you're not tall like a basketball player.
Looks: Think about anything that Incels are obsessed about. Your face, eye colour, shape of your face (jawline, cheekbones, eye area etc), skin and especially hair. If you are fat (chubbiness hides your features) or you have a bad hairstyle (bad hairstyle makes your face shape worse), this can be bumped up by a lot of points. Personally, I enjoy the looks score because it is such a high risk but high reward score. For example, if you have glasses, you should immediately take them off and you WILL get compliments since you boosted your score by about 2.. but have a giant nose in the middle of your face your score gets fucked up... but change that nose (or don't, I heard apparently a lot of women LOVE men with big noses & that smaller ones are a feminine characteristic, I'm not kidding, they assume big nose equals a giant dick) and your looks score bumps up by many points. Why is this important? Because increasing one score by at least 3 disturbs the pecking order massively. We call this a glow up, so if you can increase your points by 3 or more, you will disturb your current pecking order to the n-th degree and people will value you (or test you) more.
Again, changing only your hair can absolutely change your entire appearance. I can't tell how many times I see a video of some dude asking for advice and he has shit hair. For example, I used to have such terrible hairstylist that I thought I just had shit hair naturally (buzzcut with innate widow peaks) but I grew my hair out, got myself a high quality shampoo, a better (great) hairstylist, hair oil, an expensive fan & some skills on how to make it all work (use the shampoo, put oil on wet hair, wait some minutes and use the fan in a way where it looks great) and with a little bit of hair wax.. well, now it looks great, indeed. This is more like style rather than looks but style can influence looks, in any case.
Style: Not to be confused with looks (although style directly influences looks), this is the stuff you CAN work on: your strength & the way you present yourself. Do you lift, bro? If you do, what would you say is the score for that (chest, back, biceps, abs, legs to a degree)? If it is a good score: do you dress well? This is why I label it STYLE: if you lift like Hulk but you dress like Billie Eilish hiding her massive tits then you are fucking stupid and you need to go buy clothes that fit. Spending one day in a mall will improve your score by at least 2 if not 3 points if you dress like shit and you smell like shit. Getting a good haircut, a beard & some perfume (any Layton copy is a great pick, which is what I use) will go a loooong way.
However, keep in mind not to go overboard as going overboard in style will have diminishing returns: taking steroids & being a metrosexual is not what most men should go for. We lift and look good because it makes us feel good and if it doesn't make you feel good then you need to reassess it ASAP. Honestly, most people who lift would benefit a lot by just going to a pool for a swim and taking their shirt off. There's no point to lift and go home to eat rice and chicken. Lift and go swim with your shirt off: you WILL get looks from women and feel better about yourself.
Also, if you drive (which is a very important skill to have & can bump you by 3 points in both Skills & Style) then what kind of car do you drive? This may be a polarizing point but there's a big difference between a man that drives a Peugeot & Audi. While you can absolutely be a man in a Peugeot or a tiny Smart Car and hold frame each time someone shit tests you and says you drive a woman's vehicle (and funny part is that WOMEN will give you shit for this more than men), you should try not to put yourself through that, if you can.
Money: Pretty self-explanatory but, again, this is country dependent. $5000 is shit for California & New York but absolutely amazing anywhere in Europe or Asia. The more money you have, the more you will be valued as a person and you'll be able to have access to a good quality of life which is why many passport bros relocate (their score goes up by 4+ and shatters the pecking order). I'd also put "what you actually do" here since a lot of people value manager types over subordinates but, IMO, no one is really gonna give a shit at the end of the day if you bring home the fucking bread (although you should work to have passive income and a business over an active income (and I would say you cannot be above an 8 without a business) but as long as you have OK money, you should be good to go).
If you do not work and don't have any money, getting even the lowest income job will shoot you from 1 (does not work) to a 4 (works something) and it is going to be great since you bump yourself by 3 points (disturbing the pecking order) but staying in that job for too long is not ideal for your status and mental health. Either way, calculate yourself against the MEDIAN of your country (and no, don't be a fucking dumbass and be like "well I don't make 100k in my 20s so I must suck dick", the median in USA alone is about $40k). Be honest and realistic; and please, do not listen to TikTok gurus. Even 50k is great money.
Halo Effect: Humans are vain creatures. Sorry, that's also a fact. This means that good looking people will also be treated socially better: in other words, your SxMV can absolutely affect ScMV (Social Market Value). However, realize two things: this is only in the beginning (like a multiplier in a game, you have to use it ASAP) and that this can go both ways: much like a good looking girl, people may assume bad things too. "You're pretty so you must be stupid", "He lifts, he must have a small dick", etc. Either way, it is better to be shit tested than not (cause no one shit tests worthless (to them) individuals) but this is an effect we should use, nonetheless. If you have a low SxMV, you may need to prove yourself more in ScMV but, either way, it is what it is.
IMPORTANT POINT ( ! ): Keep in mind that you do need a bare minimum of ScMV (4+) in order to make things work, otherwise you will be a good looking but shit person to be around. That's not the worst thing in the world but just put in the literal bare minimum to function in society, thanks.
My SxMV score
Height is a 10. Indesputable, I'm 2cms taller than Michael Jordan.
Looks are about a 7 but this can be bumped up to an 8 once fitness goes up & my face gets more sharp.
Style is a 5. I let myself go but in two-three months I can absolutely bump it to a 7 or 8 due to muscle memory & losing depression weight.
Money is an 8. I make some very decent cash but I don't have a passive income and I am not that rich yet.
10 + 8 + 5 + 7 is 30 divided by 4 is 7.5. Potentially (once I get great passive income with a very fit look) I could boost that up to 10 + 10 + 8 + 8 = 36 divided by 4 which is 9. Blessed overall but this is also why there are no perfect 10s: combining your height, money, fitness AND looks (half of which you cannot control) to have a 10/10 and not even accounting for ScMV (we'll get to that in a second) is impossible. People can (at best) be 7 - 9 and even a 9 is a pipedream (but makes me excited to work towards it).

Interior Level: Social Market Value (ScMV)
Subjective Value: These values are not clearly defined (although they absolutely can be), some are more abstract than others but, luckily for you, you can work on all of these to see great success. Most of The Red Pill is based on this type of value and this is increased by, in short, opening your mouth more, being around places doing things & doing all of that for a long period of time. Anything related to game, having social skills, going out etc. all belong in this area as well as possessing any skill as an individual. This is something that most Incels do not possess & don't believe it is real because only looks matter. That's fine: if you believe your SxMV is a 4 and you think this is 0: (4 + 0) / 2 = 2. Congratz, have a cookie: or realize you can boost this score to a 10 (incredibly difficult because of the halo effect) and be perceived as a 7 overall. These values are: Friendships, Skills, Popularity & Personality.
Friendships: Put it simply, this is just "how many friends do you have?". While, sure, you can absolutely put "acquaintances" into this mix, you should instead ask yourself this question: "if I wanted to hang out with someone now, could I do that and with who? And if I made a big party, how many people would come?". Either way, the friendship category comes with all the other ones: if you look good and you're good to be around then more people will want to be your friend. To level up this score, simply level up all your other scores and it will come into place.
Popularity: Much different than friendships: you can absolutely have many friends but not be popular or have high popularity but feel like a loner. This is, in general: how many people know you & what's your reputation like? Do you get along with others easily? Would you say you are famous, to some level? Fame can absolutely boost our score and, honestly, with just popularity at 10, you can get by very VERY far, probably more than any other point here. This is why guys like Adin Ross who have no actual skills, personality or look good or are tall (but have money, which came with fame) can have a massive value overall. They'll end up with gold-diggers, of course, but at the end of the day we know their value is low. Besides being popular online, you can be popular in your town, city, area and hobby. Depending on where you are, your popularity could be 2 or a 10 so this varies a lot but, in short: the more you're seen the more you will be seen. I had bouncers highfive me in a club and bartenders introduce me to hot women because of a place I frequented for many months where they worked. There I felt like a 10, in most places I am like a 3.
Skills: Certain skills are more attractive than others and vary from person to person. In general, you should never pick what's valuable to other people but what's valuable to you. However, besides actual skills (like work you do and certain hobbies like playing the guitar) one you should master is social skills & knowing how to behave in different settings, as well as how do you handle shit tests. Other skills would be like: do you know a trade or something useful, to create something? What are your hobbies and are they interesting? If you participate in a group hobby, are you the top of that chain? Do you know how to drive and are you a good driver? Do you play an instrument? All of these skills can work towards your score. People value others when they know how to do things so knowing to do more things will make people value you more. Simple.
Personality: Are you interesting? Are you funny? Do you tell good stories? What's your way of talking to someone? Do you actually talk to others or do you keep to yourself? Are you an extrovert or an introvert? Would someone say you have a resting bitch face or that you are positive? This is basically the depth of you and constists of humor, certain social skills, intelligence with the ability to connect things (see hoemath's Levels of Thinking) as well as your attitude about stuff. You can gain this through experience and time but only if you work on it on a daily basis. If you want to improve this, I recommend watching stand up comedy and the way they talk.
And make no mistake: this is incorporated into online dating. That is why we take pictures that show we have a life: that we go out, have friends, a decent personality (bios) and skills such as being able to catch fish (jk).
You can lose one of these but the less you have, the worse the quality of life will be for you. Having one off can even define you. No friends? Famous Introvert. No popularity? Average Joe after college / high school. Not many skills? Most likely a college / high school student. No personality? Deadpan or Mute. However, the biggest problem you can have is not displaying your value (which I think is my fault) which is when all of your values are assumed lower (if people are faced with the unknown, they will gravitate towards what is the worst case scenario). Generally speaking, I have a very low ScMV score. That's because I simply don't show people "this is how valuable I am" and they might assume that I'm not of value.
My ScMV score
Friendships is a solid 4. I have some friends now that really like me but I still reject others lowkey because of past issues. If I work on my social skills, open myself up to others and show intent that I want to become friendly, I can definitely get this up to 8 if not a 9. I watched a video podcast with Vanessa Van Edwards and it literally changed my perspective, that lady is a saint.
Popularity is a 3 or 8 depending where I am (I'm very tall so I am often a known face, and my popularity skyrockets in a specific area). I could be more popular in general if I choose to and I think I'll find a way for that soon doing something that I love doing to a solid 7 (and therefore 10 in the other area).
Skills are a solid 5. I know things but not that many to say that I am a skilled individual. I would like to learn an instrument and learn some trades / crafting but more importantly boosting my social skills which could all get me up to like an 8.
Personality is 2 but potentially a 9 or even a 10. I know I can do much much better but I find it very hard to open up because of past issues so my perceived personality falls flat. Either way, a boost from 2 -> 9 / 10 would absolutely wreck the current pecking order.
4 + 3 + 5 + 2 is 14 divided by 4 is 3.5.. definitely a terrible score (although goes up to 4.75 in an area, remember that popularity is a big changer) but can be boosted to 9 + 7 + 8 + 9 which is 33 divided by 4 is 8.25 (a 9 if we include the other area). Knowing I can nearly 3x my current value gives me a big boost in the urge to do it.
Calculate your current & potential sexual market value and come up with a score. You will see what you need to work on to progress.
Relation zones defined by these two values
Now that we've defined our values, it's incredibly easy to see where we're gonna end up based on simple numbers. Note that these scores are very subjective but are probably not far off from reality. The reality can change based on circumstance: poor hot woman looking for a green card, older woman losing value and wanting kids, being drunk in the club where inhibitions and values lower and so on and so forth.
What is 4 / 7? - Before I continue, you may see that I added 4 / 7 into the mix. Simply put: this is based on how attractive the girl is. The more attractive someone is, the higher the score needs to be. Let's say you're being friendzoned by the local very mid Becky. Looking down at the score, this means that you are socially above a 5 (you have some friends & a social life you would say is ok, some people know you, you are interesting) but you are a 4 overall in looks. Beckies don't mind being seen with a 4 as long as they get a meal. However, imagine you are being friendzoned by a girl that's absolutely stunning. Well, if you want to be friendzoned by a supermodel, you cannot be a 4. She's not gonna want to be even seen out with you because you will leech off her attractiveness by default of her being there: so the cruel part is that if you are a 4 but a social butterfly then you aren't even worth friendzoning if the girl is way above your level. She won't want to be seen with you.
Friendzone: ScMV > SxMV | 5+ & 4 / 7
- Your social market value is high but you're nothing anyone can brag about in the pictures. If you have SxMV of 4, you'll get friendzoned by Beckies. If you are a 7 sexually, you will be friendzoned by the hottest girls in your area. Bump up your Sexual Market Value (or try to lower hers, Dark Triad is always fun) based on what you want to achieve and you'll see success since you can absolutely make a Stacy feel like a Becky but this takes skill, mindfuckery and a lack of morals.
ONS: SxMV > ScMV | 8+ & 4 / 7
- Sexually you are appealing but you're nothing to brag about on a social level (not many friends, kinda dumb and annoying). If you want a relationship & better quality dates, bump up your social skills. Unlike the above, this cannot be Dark Triad cheated: you either are socially recognized as an Alpha or you're not. Regardless, it is better to be ONS'd than friendzone'd but you still need a certain level of social ability.
Relationship Material: SxMV ~ ScMV | Total Value: 5 - 7
- Your sexual & social market values are perfectly average and don't differ far apart (more than 2 points, this is important because having a big gap is never really a good thing). You may be a 6 in looks but 8 socially which makes you a 7 overall. Congratz: you have a girlfriend and a potential wife (at least until she determines that your value dropped below a 5 or that your SxMV & ScMV are much more distant now, uh-oh).
Warlord: SxMV ~ ScMV | Total Value: 8 - 9
- Your sexual & social market value are real high. You are rich, hot and socially people are drawn to you. If you're an 8 then you can have some competition but if you're a 9 then you can do whatever you want, you are Atila the Hun reincarnate and in a question "what do you bring to the table" you can respond like a chick from TikTok saying "I am a table, with stacks of cash on it and a big dick" (the big dick is important because you can never be a Warlord with a small cock, needs to be at least average). 99% of men will not be able to attain this level or keep it for a long time. If you get it, enjoy while it lasts: you blessed motherfucker..
Anyway, I hope that explains it. I have always wondered why I feel like a 5 or a 6 while I look like a 7 or an 8 and the answer was really in the fact that my ScMV is worth like the currency of an African country. Go ahead and calculate yours: you will definitely see what you need to do to improve.
