I transfered from a extremely greek oriented school where a girl's first question would be "what frat you in" and where the best fraternities usually had the jacked up guy, or the extremely rich douche, etc..(stereotypes basically), to a larger but not so greek oriented school. Girls dont really ask and its more focused on academics than football.

My question is, I just dropped this fraternity because I didnt fit in with my pledge brothers, but there is another house I wanted to rush. I dont necessarily need a fraternity but I just dont have a close group of friends and I want to make some so I feel that's the easiest/best way to go.

Are there other ways to make a close bond with guys without a fraternity necessarily? Is it truly worth it? I always wanted to have the fraternity experience but I feel like it's not what I thought(from this school atleast)
