I’ve recently been listening to women on podcasts postulate as to why younger men are losing their way…others are wondering why many voted for Trump. They have no idea what it’s like to be a man today …but here are some of my thoughts…
- I have friends who video consent women every time they have sex to protect themselves.
- Still today, if you hear a woman scream “se anything”, your life is over without a trial. Often reported by a female newscaster shaking her head with shame.
- I refuse to ever be alone in a room with children, because I am a man.
- Three of my recent bosses were rule-mongering mothers who had no idea how to manage. I do not need three more mothers, nor a woman who tries to control me with rules to show her power.
- “Happy wife, happy life” funny but terrible. How about we should all be happy and equal partners?
- Women’s health has been a priority for years? Women outlive men by many years and growing - shouldn’t we be focusing on men’s health?
- I volunteer at a women’s shelter while the homeless men are “strong” and hundreds live on the street just outside. How long do you think they will stay out of prison with no support?
- How about we red-shirt boys a year in school and see if 12 years of not being less developed than their female peers helps? Heaven forbid we give boys anything.
- If women want to take 60% of all high-paying jobs and 75% of them still expect their husband to make more than them. And the next podcast with the same women talks about asking the salary of the man on the first date. There are going to be a whole lot less first dates. There is going to be a whole lot more women complaining on podcasts about how we are failing men. Or men are failing them.
- I am in my early 50s now, on a career break…I am a DEI victim. During the last 6 years in a corporate job, I saw many deserving women get many well-deserved promotions while other well-deserving people like me were left behind. The balance had to happen but at the expense of men.
-Under female leadership, work culture changed. If I did not include nice niceties in every email, I would invariably get a message from my boss that a female colleague said I was being mean or aggressive. - Don’t forget, men are still expected to protect the family and dive into the ocean to save the child, not the women.
FYI— I am a gay man and I love my mother, sister, and nieces, but I am struggling with “women” and can only sympathize with why so many men are disenfranchised. For the record, I never voted for that idiot. But the next time an all-female podcast decides to get all “know-it-all” about why men are failing, talk to a few men.
