This has been doing the rounds recently and on the face of it, it's pretty daming evidence. Tim and Lisa BOTH work at least 3 days a week and yet Lisa provides emotional support to Tim but not the other way round. It's a Harvard study, so should be pretty robust, is this, finally, cast iron data proving how evil men are to women ?

No, err, not at all. The study is linked to, in my blog post here, but the original poster has been fairly economical with the truth. You see how he says "who both work at least 3 days a week" ? He's suggesting they are both working hard and contributing to the household. What he fails to tell you is that Lisa is a part time worker, 3 days a week, and her husband is a full time worker at 5 days a week.

Lisa gets 4 days off a week, Tim only gets 2. So really the finding that "Part time worker provides more emotional support to full time working husband" is not anywhere as sensational and actuall what the majority of people would probably expect.

Add into that that you wonder how stressed Lisa can possibly be when every day is a Friday for her and the whole sensationalist interpretation of the study falls apart very quickly. This study's results, how they've been interpreted and spun to look as badly as possible for men is pure misandry.
