So, I've always been a bit of a cynic (and blessed with dark humor) and particularly anxious, especially in social situations and the more I read the more I think my inner attitude is to blame. It's like suddenly I become a creep. I recall a long time ago, a female friend in high school said I was "intimidating" all despite being on the short side of life. I wore it as a badge, probably too much, but I can say I was never bullied since winning a fight a couple years prior to this but I digress... I also don't smile much, if at all either...in addition to hating to celebrate myself.

I'm sure that sounds like a duh, but the more I think that it comes down, not necessarily to self-esteem, confidence, but to outlook on life.

Would you surmise that a positive outlook affects a lot of it, perhaps even the rest (esteem, confidence, etc )? What are tips to, even in hard situations, to be more positive?
