It's holiday season so please take some time to write a letter to a victim of prison sexual assault. Rape should never be part of the punishment, but still too many people joke, dismiss, or worse prison rape. No doubt this is partly because it is seen as predominantly happening to men, especially men that "deserve" it. Because of the United States' high prison population, more men than women in the United States are raped.

It is particularly egregious in juvenile prisons and against men who do not conform to traditional masculine norms.
