I think this fits here. There's certainly numerous unfair double standards with gender issues and many here would likely agree there's all sorts of BS men get punished for women don't.

I don't doubt misogyny is something that exists and it's a stupid, ignorant form of bigotry (as is misandry), but how is it systemic? It certainly isn't systemic in Western nations for sure, where women always get so much in the way of favorable treatment and special protection and always have their rights prioritized. Meanwhile men and boys are always neglected and any sort of bigotry against them is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged. Seeing the reports of schools in the U.K. having classes that teach male students to respect women/girls but not the other way around and also how school staff are instructed to look for signs of misogyny but not misandry; that's certainly telling.

Claims of systemic misogyny to me come off as more misandrist victimhood and trying to deflect from the fact misandry and anti-male sexism not only exist but are acceptable and even encouraged and enforced. A case can be made in parts of the world like Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, etc. for misogyny being systemic (not that life is peachy for men/boys there, either), but certainly not in Western nations.
