19 year old. You can find tons of backgrounds about me if you are curious on my past posts but I dont think they are needed for these questions...if background about me is required id be more than glad to post something

Anyways I have been "doing" monk mode for almost a year. Thing is after reading Illimitable men's post on monk mode, I realized that I have always been half assing it. I am doing a water fast right now(planning for a week, on day 4) and decided that I wanted to fully commit to monk mode.

My questions are basically:

  1. When it comes to leisure time, usually I watch anime or a tv show I am interested in.(If it helps I look for when the male main character is a badass, player) but I am of course ashamed of watching it. My question is, do I completely stop watching it or can I enjoy a couple of episodes here and there as long as I keep on my self-improvement path?

  2. I watch porn usually everyday for about 30mins-1 hour. Can I still watch porn to fulfill my needs(jack off, I have no plates), if so how many times a week is it recommended or is there another way besides porn?(my imagination sucks)

  3. I do find myself refreshing facebook/instagram alot though I never post. I have no problem with deleting them as I dont really care about social media but is it healthy to do so? Arent I purposely running away from it?

  4. He recommends to learn to be funny. What are good ways to do so and which comedians should I watch? I love Bill Burr and enjoy Patrice O'neal, but besides these two whom else should I watch and what else should I read/watch/do to learn?

  5. Also I am already in bad shape socially. Should I completely deviate from being social in this case? I am friendly when I want to be and find myself making friends easily but not keeping them or to find the right word...cultivating them? I leave a decent impression but I dont know how to escalate with male friends like asking their numbers or to hang out.(Raised by single mom).

  6. Besides this, what are other things I can do to make the most of out of monk mode? Is it ok to read a lot of books at once? Can I read history books that are non fiction? Business books? Or only self improvement books?

I've already partially started. I am in better shape than most people, I dress decent, I cook for myself, I do MMA, I am trying to learn a language, and I read.

Thanks.
