Delete if I’m in the wrong place sort of new to this and I just feel so alone just looking for advice from men who have been through it and saw the light at the end of the tunnel when everything felt like you were never going to get through it.
Long story short my marriage of 8 years is coming to an end and I’m trying really hard to save it but I fear it is too late. My wife and I have been together for 8 years we share 2 young sons ages 6 and 4. To some people this may not seem like a big deal because whats 8 years to others who’ve been through 10, 20, 30 years and it comes to an end but for me this marriage was all i ever wanted.
Maybe it was just never really meant to be but I still don’t know how to let go and just let it happen. I feel like I’m making things worse by trying to talk about things when she’s clearly made her mind up. There was no infidelity or big problems it just feels like the little things that I wasn’t doing started to add up and she just checked out of the relationship and ready to move on with her life. I know I can’t hold on to this if she doesn’t want it but I just can’t accept that this is it. I tried to offer counseling or just have her talk to me about what can be done to save the marriage but she just doesn’t want it anymore. I’m starting to think the love is gone and it’s the worst feeling ever. I really want to keep my family together but I also don’t want to be like most couples who just stay together for the sake of the kids and end up making things worse for the kids too. I guess I’m just trying to figure out how you get through these first steps of divorce.
Any sort of advice or things you did to get through this is greatly appreciated.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
