It shouldn't affect your SMV at all. I've had plenty of people do the exact same thing with me, and it's never stopped me from getting my dick wet in the end. If anything take it as a compliment, seeing as women love gay guys so much.

People often think that attractive, well dressed, well groomed, successful guys who don't have a woman / gf must be gay. In other words if you appear to have all the attributes favored by women but you don't appear to have a woman, then you must be a fag.

It's a sense of perfectness that usually elicits the gay remark. If your hair is perfect, if your beard is perfect, if your clothes are perfect, etc. When I used to wear peacoats, spend a long time lining up my beard very precisely in a certain way I lined it up, and the way I wore well fitting shirts, I looked in the mirror and realized why people perceived I was gay: just too well put together and thought out. Now? I generally wear decent shoes, line up my beard different in a way that looks pretty masculine (not perfect but not homeless), and I throw on some random jacket or a shirt.... and it's the perfect blend of nice looking but also disheveled looking. This may not be applicable for everyone else but I found it is why people thought I was gay.... because in the end, if you look like Neil Patrick Harris (perfect hair, perfect outfit), people will start to suspect you are gay as gay people generally are the ones that are this well kept... also it has to do with how you interact with females as well. Sometimes I'm of a certain demeanor that no female would ever think I'm gay just because of the way I looked at her, the way I'm taking up space, the depth of my voice (deep), confidence and posture... but it does have a lot to do with looks... I would know.

I love that the first place you go is "I don't have a lisp." That cliche just never gets old.

Anyway, it's really hard to say without more context. It could go either way really.

Being well dressed helps, but I hope it's more than just clean clothes and shoes; But a woman saying the way you hold or carry yourself is harder to tell. Did she think your body language was saying you were distant or uninterested? Were you overly effeminate with your mannerisms? There are just too many variables to consider without more info.
