This was an interesting episode. The story follows the plot where the girl and guy are together for a couple of years. One day the girls past geeky friend comes by. But he’s no longer geeky. He inspires her to get into her music career and singing. Instant proposal of her breaking up with current guy.

She moves on to try her career, the music industry ruins the songs and she decides to go back to the guy she broke up with because music is no longer in the stars. To some degree these shows are based on copying reality but the guy only ever knew her so he gladly takes her back along with all the disagreements and arguments that go with it.

Personally I can identify with that in two past relationships where one chick decided the deadbeat was a bigger prize even though he was broke and another that felt getting back with the abusive ex was a worthy path which she had six kids and was the one that bought the wedding rings insisting we get married when she saw my place after one month.
