Not as far as I'm aware. Legal trouble could come from the fallout if you get caught tho.

Unless you're in the military, probably not. Most adultery laws are unenforced. California doesn't even have one AFAIK.

This is such a typical beta question. Infidelity is NOT illegal, but to some, it is considered immoral or evil. There are, however, certain caveats to sex and the act of sexual intercourse itself. For example, sex must be done in private at your place of residence. It is illegal to have sex in public. In some states, it is illegal to sell or solicit sex in public, or in some cases, merely advertise for the purposes of sex in public. The government does not care what kind of kinky shit you do in your home, nor will they dictate what sex positions and fetishes you can and can't do in your home.

Really, if you think it's wrong, then just don't do it. But like any religious person, don't muscle force your religious preferences onto others and condemn them if they choose to ignore you.
