All those rapes are unreported? Then how do we know? O they just guess that the vast majority aren't reported? How convenient

We only know the ones who went to jail are guilty, then we subtract the falsely accused and it is a pretty small number that are proven guilty.

I could try to explain it for you more thoroughly but this is the only accurate graph there is using the data the authors provided. Different sources provide different numbers, but we will play using their provided numbers.

They use the 2% false allegation rate which is taken from a range between 2-8%, so let's take 5% as an average. Using just the lowest estimate is disingenuous.

10% of cases are conclusively true.

5% of cases are conclusively false.

And any amount of the remaining 85% could be true/false.

If the remaining 85% follow a similar pattern of true/false, then the actual false allegation rate could be 33% even if the verified false allegation rate is 5% (2-8%).

There is also the issue that this data doesn't take into account serial rapists.
