Summer break is soon over where I live. I live in Sweden where highschool is divided in two parts, "högstadiet" for students aged 13-16 and "gymnasiet" for students aged 16-19. I'm currently 16 so I'm going to the "gymnasiet" in about a week. In retrospect, "högstadiet" for me have been pretty bad socially. I'm not what you would call a very attractive student, I'm short and skinny with an averege face. I made the mistake of sharing one of my nerdy hobbies in the first grade of "högstadiet" which made me the face of bullying for a little while. After having to fight one of them (and losing) they soon picked another target and stuck with him but the damage to my social reputation had already been done. I got the reputation of being overaggresive in social situations which I tried to change by being overly nice. Of course this didn't work, people don't respect "nice" people, they respect people who stand up for themselves who happen to be nice. In the last grade of "högstadiet" I found The Red Pill. It didn't really change my worldview, but more or less reinforced things I'd already started to suspect. I started to apply advice from the sub and things did get a little better but it was already too late. I also started going to the gym and take martial arts classes which I'm still doing to this day.

What I really want to know is if there's other highschool students or adults who can give me advice on how to get the respect from your peers without being too agressive or passive and other things to do during highschool to have a better time than I did (besides studying hard).
