My lifestyle and relationship are very different to what this sub encourages, and I'd like to understand why you think they are 'wrong' (Looking for another point of view, not an argument)

Welcome to RPW! I'm not sure which part you think contradicts the red pill praxeology. I saw nothing in your post that indicates such.

It's pretty common for women to come here with a misunderstanding of the whole RPW thing, so maybe if you list say 2-3 specific places where you think there are contradictions, then they could be addressed specifically to help flesh out your understanding.

I'm not against an equal partnership or masculine qualities in women. In fact, I'm an engineering undergraduate who weight lifts and enjoys crass humor. What I am against is the idea that women should compete with men or strive to emulate them. Mostly, this is pushed by the feminists who claim that there is a patriarchy that enforces the wage gap, opposes females in STEM, invented slut shaming, etc. You and your lifestyle don't reflect that mindset, so I don't oppose that.

The only issue I have- and one I'm struggling with myself- is the question: how much commitment will you have towards your kids while having ambitious career plans? From what I've read about child development, you need a reliable, primary caregiver in the child's life for the first 4-5 years so that the child develops a secure attachment (see reference). My mother worked during my and my sister's toddler years, and both of us grew up emotionally unstable with little affection towards our mother. Even after the toddler years, someone needs to be available to care for the child when sick, drive them to socializing events, support them during important events (i.e sport matches or spelling bees), etc. Some of that can be outsourced to nannies, but there are still lots of work-interfering commitments that either you or your husband have to take the bulk of if you want well-adjusted children. Continue splitting everything equally, and both of your employers will see that neither you nor your husband are fully committed to your careers. So, both of you will probably get passed up for promotions in favor of primary breadwinners/singles/childless people.

As you can see, a lot of women here prefer someone to be the "Captain" for efficiency's sake. It doesn't necessarily have to be the husband, but please think this through before starting your family.
