So I've read a lot in places like trp (before it got removed) about dark triad traits used in romantic relationships. When I've asked about the benefits of using those qualities in romance I usually get hit with answers similar to women desire those traits in a partner and redpillers are kind/compassionate deep down but feel they have to [keep in frame?] and pretend to be something they don't feel aligns with their inner self in order to keep a woman's interest. Generally, it comes down to something sort of like admitting that they aren't cruel or narcissistic but only pretend to be those ways to attract a mate. These kinds of things had me thinking. When someone I've been casually talking to was asking about male bullies willing to capitalize their power by bullying weaker men. So that got me thinking about altruism and virtue signaling in attraction. Wouldn't defending a weaker male make the one doing it appear stronger under virtue signaling and altruism theories of attraction?

How do you think all of these things relate back to things like the Gillette commercial dissecting toxic masculinity by showing men standing up for weaker people (stopping sexual harassment and breaking up fights between children boys)? Does it look weak or strong? Does it look weak or strong to women?
