Nice observation. Yes, this is literally a visual representation of briffaults law, and the commercial probably rings true to most viewers in many ways.

The man wants to have a long and meaningful relationship with the woman, and the woman just wants to get something from the man. How people can simultaneously understand this dynamic, and still say that it is men who are the selfish ones in the relationship is quite the cognitive dissonance.

BRIFFAULT’S LAW: "The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place"

Corollaries:

-Past benefit provided by the male does not provide for continued or future association.

-Any agreement where the male provides a current benefit in return for a promise of future association is null and void as soon as the male has provided the benefit (see corollary 1)

Dat insecurity. Stop trying to find these little self truths in commercials about fast food.

The only lesson here, if any, is that you should treat everyone you encounter the same regardless of gender. If he had done that, he would be enjoying his greasy heaven without the burden of even seeing that woman and getting overwhelmed with feelings no one asked for.
