A guy has been plating a girl for 2 years. He met her when he was new to TRP so he didn’t aim very high. She’s a good 2 points beneath him in SMV and the opposite of his type. She’s completely in love with him. He obviously doesn’t reciprocate.

He’s grown a lot in 2 years and has shot for the stars when it came to women. He’s been able to plate women above his SMV. He’s very confident in his ability to get whatever woman he wants. However, he always comes back to that plate. Even when she blocks him (whenever the pain and embarrassment of his unreciprocated love becomes too much), he finds a way to contact her because he doesn’t want her to go.

Why would this happen? Scarcity seems like the most obvious answer, but he clearly knows he can get other women. Oneitis seems possible too but unlikely when he knows he can do better.
