I'm new to the whole open-dating paradigm, and still trying to figure out the different types of relationships that involve sex. I have this FWB situation, we see a 1-3 days a week, have some common friends, some common hobbies. No commitment. Is she actually my girlfriend?

It brought me thinking, other than being committed to having sex with only that person, what's the difference between a FWB and a LTR situation? In other words, what's the difference between a FWB and an open LTR?

Emotional support: I'd say you give this to an LTR but... also to friends definitely, so to some degree also to a FWB.

Oneitis/"Feelings": do you have those for an LTR? Even knowing AWALT? For sure not for a FWB
