Throughout our lives, we make a number of 'mind leaps', where we start to understand some meanings that we previously haven't been able to see or understand in our everyday lives, examples:

  • You rewatch movies that you haven't seen in 10 years and you find new meanings, new interpretations, new problems that were raised in them, and those problems genuinely start to bother you.
  • Same with books
  • You might realize that music is more than just a collection of sounds and tunes. Music is basically an artist sending their emotions/thoughts/state of mind encoded in sounds.
  • You might become more interested in people's stories.
  • People are just people. They have similar thoughts, ideas, fears as you do. Literally. You look at a Chad and might think he is so confident about everything in his life, but in reality this is not true - Chad doesn't have a good job, he got long-lasting problems with his father, he feels 'worried' that his gym buddies might not approve of him because he deadlifts 20kg less than them. So you basically stop idealizing Chad and see him for who he truly is- just a normal human being.
  • Same goes for girls.

Or similarly, if you have watched some of Jordan Peterson's videos - if you realize that Bible might not be just a book of fictional stories composed by mad people and that there might be underlined "truths" hidden in Bible.

This is also in line with general TRP advise on, let's say, approaching:

  • You have to actually approach, let's say, 100 girls before you can actually self-actualize that it's not a big deal to do so. You have to experience those rejections, successes so that this knowledge is 'saved' in your brain.

So if we can agree that somehow people go through some sort of these stages of self-actualization in their lives, that they "wake up" with their minds shifted, and that it's a good thing from the personal development perspective, then what are the causes of such drastic changes? How can we speed them up? To me it seems that the only of doing that is to experience new things - reading books, talking to people, living in new places, doing some sort of activities is the only way to get those "mind shifts".

Something similar is covered in this post too: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/3dwokl/and_dont_listen_to_me_like_a_sperg_either/

Not sure exactly what I'm looking for here honestly, just curious if other people have thought anything similar?
