You manage to actually sweat and bleed with other guys for six months and not bond with them?
What the fuck? There are guys at my gym I do know for six weeks and we are at least doing locker room talk.

This is why I am asking the question...
I just don't get it. I legitimately tried my best but it ended up like this.
Edit: I searched through a lot of asktrp posts but couldn't find anything like this.

So what do you do in order to bond with them?
When I joined, I proactively approached groups and tried to just join in. At first, they accepted me, but soon as soon as I walked to join a group, they'd all walk away. This happened again, again, and again. Eventually one guy pulled me aside and said the other guys didn't really want me around them.

Did you try to find out why that explicitly is the fact?
That really is an issue you want to be working on. I have never been with any group of people that is more unbiased and accepting as the MMA and grappling scene, so there definetly is some problem with your behaviour and how you come off.
You're right, I hadn't thought of that.
At this point, I guess the best course of action would be to find a new MMA club and try again there. Who knows, maybe it'll go differently this time.

Do I really have to dig for that Einstein quote, basically saying that madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome?
Why don't you grab yourself by the balls and pull one of the guys aside and ask him?

If you have the same issue with work, bike club, ECT then your the issue. Your going to have to do some introspection
I understand that, and I know I just don't have good social skills for anything after the initial meeting. I have no idea why this might be. I try to be friendly etc. but it's the same all the time.

Fix your social skills by talking to everyone, it's going to be a rough begining, I feel your body language reeks of neediness or your blocking.
MMA gym bros usually have a very open mind when meeting new people.
