Why is it that I hear of Asian and Indian guys struggling a lot more with women in "blue" areas as opposed to red states?

Because liberals cannot see people as anything other than their race. A lot of liberal white women generally hate Asian and Indian men, see them as a part of the oppressive patriarchy. Add in the fact that it is okay to be racist against Asians and Indians as opposed to black people and these women tend to treat men of those races as garbage. I grew up in the liberal hellhole of California and it was indeed very taboo for your typical California blonde to date a brown guy, the same time the liberal whites there made fun of foreigners while kissing up to blacks.

I am so happy I got out of that shitfuck state, truly the worst state I've ever lived in.

Conservative white women or white women who aren't so attached to liberal values in general tend to view guys as individuals. So if an tall and handsome brown guy with game starts getting at them, they are generally going to be more open to going for him as opposed to the liberal cunts in California who cannot see people beyond their race. Liberals, that is how they operate, everyone is a stereotype that has to tick certain boxes and checkmarks or else something is wrong.

Looking back at it, I was shocked as to how rare it was to see white girls with brown guys in California but whatever, I am happy I left that god forsaken shit hole.
