i was the same when i gave up weed, my whole identity was based on being "the cool stoner"

took a while trying lots of stuff like scuba diving, rock climbing but eventually found a passion for MMA.

You've rewired your reward circuits but you didn't replace anything that stimulates you to produce dopamine.

Tried the gym and just going out to places , but i have zero motivation for anything.

Motivation will only get you to do something for about a week max. What you need to aim for is discipline. You need to force yourself to do these things till you start getting a positive feedback, aka dopamine. Trust me, when you lift for 6-12 months and all of the sudden you start getting IOI, girls complementing you and grabbing you. You will magically start loving going to the gym.

Hint, it's not magic, it's dopamine and your reward circuit creating a positive feedback loop.

That's all any hobby you like is really, you just need to get positive stimuli out of something for you to start enjoying it. You loved video games because they gave you instant gratification, you should know this if your field is video games. They are literally designed to manipulate your reward circuits.

I was exactly this a few months ago after reading TRP. All my previous interests don't do shit for me. I haven't found the answer yet. The best use of time is just work/studying for something worthwhile and gym. Life blows otherwise.
