I asked what is Agressive-Passive and basically it was hiding your intentions or why you are upset(short: being kinda pussy) now, is it ok to be too straightfoward? I mean...I was invited to an event, but I said I cannot go because I am busy, but should I have said ¨I dont want to go¨or something more straightfoward?

In general, how should I handle that kind of situations. ex: I know someone who I dont like very much. But it is not like I want to cut him off completely...so what?
