I'm twenty two years old and I will be graduating about a year later than most of the people that I started school with (will be graduating at 23, going on 24). I had to take about a year off from school because of a health issue and most of my friends are already graduated and on to better things.

I have yet to apply to medical school and many of my classmates are starting at top medical schools and I have yet to have experienced a long-term relationship, with the longest relationships I have experienced being less than two weeks long.

I looked back today on Facebook and LinkedIn regarding where my college and high school friends are at and most of them are in long term relationships, engaged to be married, or they have gotten good jobs or are in said medical schools.

I feel like because of my health condition, which unfortunately was out of my control like I'm being passed up by all of my peers and friends. Not only have I not experienced any sort of long-term love relationship but because of my health condition I am delayed in starting a career in medicine and at somewhat of a disadvantage because I got behind on a lot of my school and other activities.

And I feel like everyone my age that I grew up with and got to know the last few years is doing much, much better than me. I know it's bad to obsess about these things but I can't get my mind off of it lately.

I feel like I had so much potential and that I worked hard but now I just feel insecure.

Any advice from older guys who have insight on this?
