(We are both 21 btw) I asked a girl if she could hangout tonight, she said no at first because she was busy with her family (story checked out actually) but then later called asking if I was free at 930pm or so. I say sure and we meet and it goes great, like really well, I hold her hand while walking with her she is touching me a little bit here and there...either way its going well, I've been on a lot of dates and this seems to be going perfect, not one night stand perfect, but we really were getting along. She does talk about her ex's a little more than the average person, but each time I just ignore and change the subject...either way I'm a 6'3'' 225 lb D1 athlete, I figured I'm better anyway.

All of a sudden we are sorta alone and I get a bit closer and try to kiss her, not in an overt way but more make strong eye contact and pull her gently towards me to go in, she really doesn't respond and turns a little bit. I didn't pursue again and within about a minute after that she asks what time I had to wake up tomorrow...yada yada yada last 20 minutes the date is uncomfortable as there is no more sexual tension, just friendly talking I guess.

We part ways, I text her saying that "Your my type but it seemed like you were uncomfortable the last 20 minutes. Why?"

She responds saying she thought it went great and blamed it on her being tired. I say "Ok gtk, I'll text you to go out again" She says "okay sounds good"

Here's where I kinda broke down a little but it was probably too late anyway and I wanted to see how she responded to me saying; "Cool, you're definitely good looking I must say"

She texts back "haha thank you, I'm glad I didn't get any visceral reactions"

I just checked and ignored...I'm really wondering if I did something wrong here...but honestly I feel its just her and not really me. I don't really care overall, but I'm trying to get better at dating. Thank you so much for the responses.
