I’m out of town for a couple days and my girl called me up to talk. We’re chatting about this and that and I mentioned a new career path/ idea I started to work on and ended with the comment “this is gonna make me rich.”

She replied, “so that means you can take care of me.”

To which I responded “no, even if I made millions I would make her work for her own success because I don’t believe in supporting freeloaders” (saw my dad do this and a few divorces can fuck up your finances gentleman). She proceeded to tell me that I was mean and that she was would support me if she made millions (LOL). Therefore I tried to explain that just because she is dating me she is not entitled to my success.

When I get back into town next week she was upset that the first thing I was going to do was go job hunting, I’ve been looking for a new one, and not go hang out with her immediately. To which I replied that is unrealistic considering I need a new job ASAP and I can’t really spend a weekday messing around with my girlfriend essentially doing nothing when I have work to do. She got frustrated saying that I don’t give her enough time.

I went on to explain that I have goals in my life I want to accomplish and I give her the free time I do have, which is in the evenings, and that we constantly have this argument. She fails to realize that I want to work a lot, go to the gym daily, and make music for at least two hours every day and that I use my free time to spend with her. Then she hung up on me.

While this is the best relationship I have ever been in, I have complete frame and never lost it once, and this girl does love me to the moon and back, I’m also seeing reoccurring issues and if she can’t talk like an adult with me, choosing to hang up, I should probably just drop her.
