Some quick background info:

I'm 22, he's 26. We've been together for 5 years now (we were best friends for about a year before we started dating) and we're both totally in love. I never want kids. My body is my career so I can't throw it away. I direct that "motherly instinct" into caring for him instead of a child.

Now here's my problem...

I love being the one to cook and serve him his food, clean up after him, wash and fold his laundry, etc. He feels like he's "taking advantage of me" by having me do this stuff (which makes no sense because I'm always the one offering).

He always says "thank you" and offers to clear the dishes or help with whatever else I'm doing. I just want him to lie back and enjoy being served.

TL; DR: He cares a lot about my happiness, but what if making him happy makes me happy? How can I help him become more comfortable in the "manly" role?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
