  • Papadimitriou and his collaborators came across the connection between game theory and evolution when they were searching for a mathematical explanation of sex, which triggers new genetic diversity by mixing up the chromosomes from each parent. They were working with equations commonly used in population genetics, first developed nearly a century ago, that describe how the frequencies of certain genetic variations change with each generation.

That is to say, genetic diversity as well as genetic fitness contributes to the selection of a species. Maintaining the idea that Alphas (genetically gifted or not) fuck and Betas (genetically gifted or not) buck. I apologize if this is just me with a science hard-on but I've been so into this sub recently I thought I might delve outside the realm of evolutionary psych to see what else I could find that ties everything together biologically. Thoughts anyone?!

TL;DR Our genes have a way of telling us (Alphas & Betas) to be bang-able. Thus, it is only natural for Betas who feel they have sufficient fitness to want to transcend to the Alpha level. this is all speculative & theory as I am not a scientist
