I've been lurking for a while and I'm on board.
It will take me a lot of time to catch up to what I should be after all the time wasted since birth. Currently I'm weak in both mind and body, but I'm improving. Like they say,
The best day to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best day is today.
I will reach some decent lifting standards in less than two years. Things are looking up!
I will remain objectively worse than what I could be, let alone what my peers are, for a long time. It will take a while before I meet the standards of people who I want to befriend. I'm getting better but I'm not there yet.
And that's OK! That's expected. I am so happy that my life is getting on track, and that the way things are makes so much more sense than it did.
Finally, here is my question:
Being at the bottom is starting to get me really sore. I still have inclinations and wants that are just not available to me right now because of the state I am in. I see little high school kids younger and dumber than I achieving things I can't (yet), and it hurts me a little inside, even though I shouldn't be comparing myself to them.
It's a long climb. How do I cope in the meantime?
Thanks everyone!!
