My GF has a career problem which I have had past experience with. We are in the same lines of work but I am quite a few rungs ahead on the career ladder, and she feels that she is not progressing as fast as she would like. I spent a few hours tonight giving her a LOT of talking to about how she can progress further in her career. A lot of it was actually blunt truths, I was telling her what she was doing wrong (60%) and what she was doing right (40%).
Then I noticed after our chat...I instinctively felt like she had lost a bit of attraction for me. I might be misreading it, it could just be that I gave her a lot to think about or that I pissed her off by confronting her with uncomfortable truths. But part of me wondered if I had been too keen on helping her out and giving away too much of my time and essentially behaving a bit beta.
Can anyone help me out on this? The language I used and points I made weren't sucking up, I was being blunt and telling her exactly how to proceed to solve her issue, because I knew the answer to her problems. But is it being blue pill to invest so long in a conversation to prop her up? Help me out dudes.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
