She's the life of the party and the most beautiful woman in the room Everybody loves her, and she's got a very unique way of carrying herself. She's an artist and an all- around special lady. We're both the same age, around 30.

She knew I was into her. Over the years I would flirt with her occasionally. Then she got rid of her boyfriend and a while later, decided she'd fuck me. Naturally I was enthralled. We were extremely compatible, and we shared some very special times. In person we talked like we were heading somewhere with each other. We shared personal stuff and would text back and forth. She seemed just as enthralled with me as I was with her. I was stoked. Then a couple weeks later she stopped replying for no apparent reason. A few days later she told me in a passive-aggressive way that it was a bad time and that she wasn't over her ex. Why she didn't bother to woman up and tell me this to my face until she blurted it at me in a text, I can't understand. But she told me over an actual phone call to give it some time and that we'd bring it back together to build something real.

I gave her all kinds of time, and I tried not to think too much about her, but I would occasionally say hi. It was torture. I tried to limit my contact, but still I was made to feel like a nuisance when she would take days to reply to me. She gave me a ride to the airport once during that time, and we had a wonderful date, after which she bathed me like a king. We didn't fuck though, and I continued to give her space. Months went by, and I would text her on occasion when I just had something nice to share. But she had stopped paying me any attention. I knew there must be something wrong, and so finally I straight up asked her. She'd already been back with her ex for probably a couple weeks.

Ok, cool. I completely understand, and would have been totally cool with that. But as a man, do I not deserve to have this explained to me in a reasonable time frame, and with regard to my feelings as a friend? I've dumped women before, but I as least had the honor to tell them things wouldn't be working out. To their face.

I have standards. I expect my women to carry themselves like adults and to act with confidence. This means I contend with some pretty bold women, and that's the way I like it. I give these kinds of women the benefit of the doubt. But did this one just rob me of my dignity?

I've worked hard to be an open and honest person, and I aspire to love freely with a woman who is like me, tough in all practical respects but not afraid to bear it all and be a real human being. I really thought she would appreciate me wearing my heart on my sleeve, but instead she treated me like an annoyance. Like it was a given that I would want her. And I feel like she took that power over me and just threw me in the trash.

These days, we're cordial with each other. I still think she's an AMAZING person. had she just talked to me, things would have been cool. I'd like to salvage the situation if I could. But what the hell did I do that led to this? At the very least, how do I get back my worth? have I been snipped here?
