Wondering if I should create another username but whatevs.
Okay first of all, I’d like to express my gratitude for finding this thread. I’ve been reading books like Fascinating Womanhood, etc since I was in high school.
I’m naturally submissive and have married an alpha with sole positive beta traits. I believe I am high value (I’m a bikini competitor, I own my own successful company and am well educated.) but I also know I have lots to improve on.
Over the years (we’ve been together 5, just got married, actually on honeymoon now), he’s become more and more of a leader as I’ve really stepped back and encouraged him to lead.
Okay so here’s my situation.
I really want to be a housewife.
I want to manage our home, have a nice meal on the table, have energy to give to him when he gets home, give him the feeling that he is providing for us, that I need him, etc etc.
Here are the obstacles to me being a housewife:
-
I make double what he does (I HATE that so much)
-
He likes the comfort my business brings in (by the way, we are both 23 and have been graduated 1 year)
-
He said if I quit my job, he’d lose a lot of respect for me.
Is it lazy of me to want to be a housewife? Should I try to convince my husband?
My mother was a SAHM and I really respect the gender roles.
What are your thoughts? Advice? You ladies are all refreshingly frank, which I really appreciate.
Also would love a guys perspective on this.
